I need a bamboo whisk to prepare matcha?
A whisk
is not necessary for preparing powdered sencha. A bamboo whisk
is recommended for matcha preparation as the leaves are ground
to a very fine powder that has the consistency of talc.
No other
implement has the flexibility to whip the tea leaves to their
desired consistency like a bamboo whisk.
